GTA 5 Enhanced adds two new ray tracing settings on PC

Rockstar Games has released a significant update for Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced Edition on PC, introducing two advanced ray tracing settings that further elevate the game's visual fidelity. This update was released on June 17, 2025, continues Rockstar's commitment to keeping GTA V at the forefront of graphical innovation, even more than a decade after its original release GTA 5 Enhanced Accounts.
Overview of the New Ray Tracing Features
The latest update brings two notable ray tracing options to the PC version:
1. High Resolution Ray Traced Reflections: This setting enhances the clarity and realism of reflections on surfaces like water, glass, and vehicles, making the game world look more lifelike and immersive.
2. Second Ray Traced Global Illumination Bounce: With this feature, the game's lighting system now calculates a second bounce of global illumination, resulting in more natural light diffusion and softer, more realistic shadows and ambient lighting.
These additions build upon the existing suite of ray tracing options, which already included Ray Traced Global Illumination, Ray Traced Ambient Occlusion, Ray Traced Shadows, and Ray Tracing Scene BVH Quality.
Visual and Performance Impact
Ray tracing technology simulates the physical behavior of light, delivering more realistic environments and dynamic lighting effects. The new settings significantly improve the visual experience, but they are demanding on hardware. Only high-end PCs are expected to run these features smoothly, as enabling them can have a noticeable impact on performance.
Players with powerful graphics cards, such as NVIDIA's RTX 3060 or AMD's RX 6600 XT and above, will benefit the most from these enhancements. Rockstar recommends at least an Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU and 16GB of RAM for optimal performance with these advanced settings.
Additional Improvements in the Update
1. Over 100 bug fixes and optimizations for both GTA V and GTA Online, enhancing overall stability and network performance Cheap GTA Money.
2. New content for GTA Online, including the Money Fronts update, new vehicles, and additional missions.
3. Continued support for advanced upscaling technologies like NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR, ensuring smoother gameplay at higher resolutions.
